Distribution Manager – Americas
Product Supply Operations - Bothell, Washington

Summary
Responsible for planning and management of distribution and logistics for the Americas (Canada, United States, Mexico, Central America & South America). Includes oversight of shipping vendors, and distribution operations. Responsible for advanced, complex, supply chain logistics. Expected to have extensive knowledge across many functional areas and resources related to logistics. Acts as business coordinator for third party relationships. Works closely with all internal and external resources to optimize shipping and distribution operations.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Integral member of Seagen Supply Operations organization with contract management of European 3rd Party Logistics providers
- Develop strong technical and business relationships with contract manufacturers and be an advocate for Seagen interests. Act as key point of contact
- Conducts Joint Steering committee meetings and business review meetings at CMOs
- Be active participant on project teams, and CMO project team leader
- Build detailed plans and project schedules to successfully complete project goals and meet timelines
- Collect and analyze inventory information from vendors for projects, and work closely with commercial supply planning to provide supply requirements
- Execute the manufacturing schedules and track/report against actual performance
- Assist in technical problem solving and partner with CMOs and Quality to resolve technical and compliance issues
- Provide forecast data to Seagen’s logistics providers. Work with logistics providers to ensure that sufficient shipping systems are positioned appropriately and available to meet forecasted needs
- Establish insurance and shipping procedures (SOP’s) for the supply chains
- Manage cGMP commercial Distribution operations / 3PL
- Prepare and distribute periodic status reports on all Seagen shipping lanes
- Acts as point of contact for third party logistics vendors
- Knowledge of upstream packaging and labeling operations a plus
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the biotech/pharma industry with at least 3 years’ experience in logistics and distribution in the Americas region.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of cGMP/ICH/GDP regulations
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Smartsheets
- Works only under general direction
- Independently determines and develops approach to solutions
- Some travel required (~ 20%)
